A few days ago, we decided to enable Enforce SafeSearch in some Umbrella policies. However, we received several reports with problems accessing YouTube live streaming.

After the change, the error message was as follows:

“This video is restricted.  Please check the Google Workspace administrator and/or the network administrator restrictions”

In the end, Enforce SafeSearch was disabled due to operational issues.

SafeSearch filters explicit results, such as pornography, to prevent them from appearing in search results. Although no filter is entirely foolproof, you prevent explicit content from being displayed in your searches if you enable this setting.

Implementing SafeSearch is compatible with Google, YouTube, and Bing.

If you need to enable this feature, you need to look at this document on Umbrella’s official website .
